chevening UK Scholarship for arts and cultural studies

Exceptional cultural leaders from UK (international scholars from Canada, China, Egypt, Hungary, Hong Kong, India, Iran and the United Arab Emirates). The Clore Leadership Programme aims to shape emerging creative leaders through in-depth learning, tailored to the needs, aspirations and circumstances of the individual. Fellows and scholars are drawn from across the cultural sector, in areas ranging from archives to theatre production including visual and performing arts, film and digital media, heritage, creative industries, museums, libraries and cultural policy. Successful candidates will be based in UK for a period of approximately four months spread over two periods; for two to three weeks in September 2011 which will include the first residential leadership course and for approximately three months between April and August 2012, to include the second residential leadership course. Each scholar will have access to a bursary of up to £14000 to cover the costs relating to the scholarship including course and conference fees, travel, accommodation, subsistence, training and development.
  Candidates should have a total of five years (paid work) experience in the arts and cultural sector; either as a self employee or freelancer.
