Applications are invited by Member Secretary, Indian Council for Historical Research, New Delhi on the prescribed form so as to reach on or before 30.10.2012 from candidates for admission to an eligibility examination for the award of Post-Doctoral Fellowship (General Fellowship) of the value of Rs. 28000/- p.m. with a contingency grant of Rs. 20000/- p.a.
The examination will be held on 2nd December 2012 at New Delhi, Bengaluru and Guwahati.
A. The term of the Fellowship shall be for a maximum period of 2 years, extendable by 1 more year in special circumstances if recommended by the Research Projects Committee.
B. The maximum number of Post-Doctoral Fellowships available for the year 2012-2013 is 10 (ten) only.
C. Candidates who might have been awarded a Post- Doctoral Fellowship (General Fellowship) prior to April 2012 but have not taken it up until June 2012, will have to appear in the examination.
D. An application fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) shall be paid in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Deputy Director (Accounts), Indian Council of Historical Research payable at the UCO Bank 35, Ferozeshah Road, ICSSR New Delhi - 110002. Candidates belonging to SC/ST are exempted from payment of the fee.
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will appear for an Interview at the offices of the ICHR in New Delhi.
