Japanese Scholarship for Engineering Studies

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The scholarships are for College of Technology students who are pursuing studies at the undergraduate level leading to an association degree (diploma) in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, information, communication and network engineering, material engineering, architecture and civil engineering, maritime engineering and other fields. The duration of the scholarship would be four years from April (including one year of Japanese language training period, which will be exempted if the student has a good ability to learn Japanese or enters the course offered in English). There are expected to be around three scholarships. The award includes a stipend of 1,23,000 Yen per-month (approximately Rs 66,000 per-month, subject to exchange rate fluctuations), round trip airfare, and tuition fees will be exempted. Requirements: Students aged 17-21 years (born between April 2, 1990 and April 1, 1995) should have completed 11 consecutive years of education, graduated from a school equivalent to a senior high school in Japan with minimum of 75% in the board exams.
