Japanese Government Scholarships for undergraduate students planning to pursue studies at the undergraduate level leading to Bachelor’s degree in (i) social sciences and humanities (A) laws, politics, pedagogy, sociology, literature, history, Japanese language and others (B) economics, business administration (2) natural science (A) science, electric and electronic studies, mechanical studies, civil engineering and architecture, chemical studies and others (B) agricultural studies, hygienic studies, biology (C) medicine, dentistry. There would be about three such scholarships. The duration of the scholarship would be five years from April (including one year of Japanese language training period – it will be exempted if student has good ability of Japanese or enters the course offered in English).

Tuition fees will be exempted as part of the award. The award would also include a stipend of 1,23,000 Yen per-month (approximately Rs 66,000 per-month, subject to exchange rate fluctuations); Round-trip airfare will be provided.
