Jinnai International student scholarship
Association of International education, Japan (AIEJ) offers: Jinnai International student Scholarships” (sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Foundation) to international students who are willing to pursue Undergraduate Courses. The scholarship program is designed to attract the cream de la cream of students from specific Asian countries.

Eligibility: applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
a) He/She must be national of eitherChina, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam, and not of Japanese nationality.
b) He/she must be a resident of his/her country of nationality while applying for the program.
C) His/her age should not be more than 30 years as on April 1.
d) The applicants are to be admitted to Japanese universities to study (excluding major fields of literature, art, and sports) in their regular undergraduate courses (each of which would allow them to gain a bachelor’s degree after successful completion of the course), during the specific fiscal year.
e) Applicants must have clear objectives and plans for their studies in Japan and are expected to be useful for their countries.
f) Applicants must have sufficient linguistic aptitude to adapt themselves to classes and other occasions provided by universities they with to join.
d) Applicants must have no infectious diseases. In view of expected psychological burden due to cultural and environmental changes; mental as well as physical health is an essential prerequisite.
h) Applicants must meet qualifications and other requirements, including educational background, for universities they wish to enter.
I) In principle, applicants must be able to leave their countries and arrive in Japan by April 30, if they are admitted to school to begin their courses in April or by October 31st, if they are admitted to school to begin their courses in October.
j) Applicants should comply with the Japanese laws and must have no purpose to engage in any illegal activities in Japan.
Notes:
a) Military personnel and military civilian employees are excluded.
b) For those who cannot arrive in Japan by the specified time, the grant of the Scholarship may be cancelled.
c) The applicant whose spouse has already won a Japanese Government Scholarship will not be selected as a recipient unless he/she likewise in the case of a couple applying at the same time.
d) Those who have already been determined to be recipients of scholarships or any financial assistance from any other organization during their planned periods of study in Japan should not apply for this program.
No. of Scholarship Recipients to be recruited: 10 (Subject to change by the authorities).
Scholarship package
a) Monthly stipend: ¥150,000 (The scholarship would stand suspended if a recipient is long absent from the university.)
b) Round –trip expenses: Economy-class air fare for the shortest flight distance between the nearest international airport from the current address of scholarship student and the nearest international airport (or the international airport nearest to the university he/she is admitted , on condition that it is less expensive to arrive at that airport)in Japan.
c) Admission fee etc.: Actual expenses arising from the processing of admission inn the university, the scholarship student is allowed to enter.
d) Tuition fee: The amount of tuition fee (or the amount provided in the university’s rules and regulations, etc.payable to the university the scholarship student is allowed to enter.
Term of Scholarship: 4 years from the date of admission to school either in April or ion October,. However, in case of an undergraduate course in medicine, dentistry, or veterinary science, the term is 6 years.
Scholarship recipients: A student qualified to be granted this Scholarship should be the one who is selected to make a reservation for the Scholarship according to the bulletin ,published in this regard and the one who meets all of the following requirements:
(1) Be admitted to a Japanese university, as indicated in his/her applications, to attend its regular course
(2) Have the status of residence of “College Student” (including his/her status of residence to be changed as such in the specified fiscal year)
